Centre on Aging Award Program Applications Now Open

The Centre on Aging is celebrating its 40th anniversary at the University of Manitoba (UM), in support of students conducting aging research. Since the Centre was established in 1982, it has provided financial support through their aging awards to nearly 100 UM students.

UM Researchers in Food and Human Nutritional Sciences attract $1.5 million in funding from CIHR

Two studies led by UM researchers in the Department of Food and Human Nutritional Sciences have received over $1.5 million in funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). This funding will support innovative research in cardiovascular disease prevention and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD).

On Thursday March 16, more than 90 UM undergraduate students presented their research findings at the 2023 Undergraduate Research Poster Competition. This was the first in-person Poster Competition since the pandemic and was a welcome networking opportunity for UM students and faculty from across disciplines.
