				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>1. Eligibility</strong><br />
This contest is open to any person who is 18 years or older at the time of entry and is an enrolled full-time or part-time student in either an undergraduate or graduate program at the University of Manitoba and who are residents of Manitoba and have reached the age of majority. Employees, faculty, and staff of the University of Manitoba are not eligible to enter or win.</p>
<p><strong>2. Contest Period</strong><br />
The contest begins on October 6, 2025, at 9 a.m and ends on October 17, 2025, at 11:59 p.m (Central Time).</p>
<p><strong>3. How to Enter</strong><br />
To enter, participants must complete and submit the Student Awareness and Perceptions Survey.</p>
<p>Limit of one entry per person unless otherwise stated.</p>
<p><strong>4. Prize</strong><br />
There are 16 total prizes which are as follows –one (1) prize for a $500 gift certificate from the University of Manitoba Bookstore, five (5) prizes of $100 gift certificates from Amazon, and ten (10) prizes of $50 gift certificates from the University of Manitoba Dining Services.</p>
<p>The prize must be accepted as awarded and is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No cash alternative will be offered.</p>
<p><strong>5. Winner Selection</strong><br />
A random draw will be conducted on October 24, 2025 from all eligible entries received.</p>
<p>The selected entrant will be contacted via email address that was provided by the Eligible Participants at the time of entering the Contest. The University will email the Prize Winner at least three (3) times within ten (10) days of the contest closing date. If a Prize Winner does not respond to being contacted in that time, another Prize Winner will be randomly selected, and the initial Prize Winners will be disqualified and will have no recourse towards the University, or anyone involved in the Contest.</p>
<p><strong>6. Skill-Testing Question</strong><br />
To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must correctly answer the following skill-testing question without assistance:</p>
<p>(8 × 2) + (12 ÷ 3) – 4 = ?</p>
<p><strong>7. Release and Waiver</strong><br />
By entering the contest, participants agree to release and hold harmless the University of Manitoba, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in the contest or acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize.</p>
<p><strong>8. Consent to Photography</strong><br />
By entering the contest, participants consent to being photographed or recorded during contest-related activities.</p>
<p>These images or recordings may be used by the University of Manitoba for promotional, educational, or reporting purposes in print, digital, or social media formats.</p>
<p>No additional compensation will be provided for the use of such materials.</p>
<p><strong>9. General Conditions</strong><br />
• The University of Manitoba reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest at any time for any reason.</p>
<p>• By entering, participants consent to the use of their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.</p>
<p>• The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws.</p>

All other entries posted during the contest period will be considered and three winners will be chosen. You may enter as many times as you like. The two winning accounts will receive a gift card from the UM Bookstore valued at $25.</p>

<p>The “Alumni Facebook contest” (the “Contest”) is open only individuals 18 years or older and who follow the UofM Alumni Facebook page and are located on mainland North America, excluding residents of the Province of Quebec.&nbsp; Participants who are 17 years or older at the time of entry (“Eligible Participants”).&nbsp; Eligible Participants who are under 18 (“Minor”) must have their parent or legal guardian’s consent to participate in the Contest and, if selected as a Tentative Prize Winner, must have their parent or legal guardian sign the declaration, waiver and release required by these Official Rules &amp; Regulations as a pre-condition to being declared a Winner.</p>
<p><strong>2. AGREEMENT TO RULES</strong></p>
<p>&nbsp;By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of the University of Manitoba Alumni Relations as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Campaign.</p>
<p><strong>3. CAMPAIGN PERIOD</strong></p>
<p>Entries will be accepted online starting June 3, 2019 09:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (“CST”) and ending June 16, 2019, at 04:59 p.m CST. All online entries must be received by June 16, 2019.</p>
<p><strong>4. HOW TO ENTER</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Visit the University of Manitoba – Alumni Facebook page at @umanalumni.</li>
<li>Find the contest post pinned to the top of the @umanalumni Facebook page</li>
<li>Tell us your favourite U of M memory or share a photo of our favourite U of M memory in the comments section.</li>
</ul>
<p>The entry must fulfill all Campaign requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win a prize. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the University of Manitoba Digital Marketing Team.</p>
<p>You may enter only once. You must provide the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If You use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of University of Manitoba Alumni Relations.</p>
<p><strong>5</strong>. <strong>WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION</strong></p>
<p>Winner will be selected through a random draw under the supervision of the University of Manitoba Alumni Relations Office. The Winner will be notified by be Facebook Messenger on June 17, 2019 following selection of Winner. The University of Manitoba Alumni Relations Office shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information.</p>
<p>If Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 30 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. Receipt by Winner of the prize offered in this Campaign is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations.</p>
<p>Each Tentative Prize Winner (or, if such Tentative Prize Winner is a Minor, such Minor’s parent or legal guardian) must sign a declaration, waiver and release, affirming he or she has read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Rules, grants all consents required and as contemplated by these Rules, authorizes the University of Manitoba to broadcast, publish and disseminate his or her name, likeness, voice, performance, city of residence and biographical information in connection with any promotion, publicity, or news, entertainment and/or information purposes, without further consent and without compensation, and releasing the University of Manitoba, its affiliates, representatives, employees and agents from any and all liability of any kind whatsoever arising out of the Tentative Prize Winner’s participation in the Contest and/or receipt and execution of any prize awarded.</p>

<p>Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by the University of Manitoba Alumni Relations. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at University of Manitoba Alumni Relation’s discretion. The prize is non-transferable.</p>
<p>All expenses related to mailing or shipping to prize Winner will be the sole responsibility of the University of Manitoba Alumni Relations Office. Any and all other prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, provincial, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of Winner.</p>
<p>No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prize to others or request for the cash equivalent by Winner is permitted. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the University of Manitoba Alumni Relations to use the Winner’s Faculty for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.</p>
<p><strong>7. ODDS</strong></p>
<p>The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.</p>
<p><strong>8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY</strong></p>
<p>The University of Manitoba, its affiliates, representatives, employees and agents, shall not be in any manner whatsoever be liable or responsible for theft, loss, technical malfunctions, computer and/or telephone network malfunctions, software problems, online traffic congestion, any human or computer generated error, which may in any manner affect the receipt of Contest entries, the notification of winners, the awarding or distribution of any prize under the Contest.</p>
<p>All Facebook &#8482; logos and trademarks displayed on this Contest are property of Facebook.</p>
<p><strong>9. PRIVACY</strong></p>
<p>The University of Manitoba will not be collecting any personal information of any kind during the Contest, other than to notify prizewinners and showcase winning images. This information will not be kept past the Contest finish.</p>
<p><strong>10. RELEASE OF FACEBOOK</strong></p>
<p>The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook. Facebook is completely released by each Eligible Participant in this Contest, from all liability arising in connection with the Contest. Any comments, questions or complains regarding the Contest must be directed to the University of Manitoba.</p>
<p><strong>11. GENERAL</strong></p>
<p>If for any reason the online portion of this Contest is not capable of being completed as planned including, but not limited to computer virus, bugs, tampering, technical failures or other causes beyond the control of the University of Manitoba, the University of Manitoba reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Contest.</p>
<p>The University of Manitoba, its affiliates, representatives, employees and agents assume no liability whatsoever for damage to any person, or to their computer or other property, arising from their actual or attempted participation in the Contest in any manner whatsoever, or in the awarding of any prize.</p>

</strong>The Contest is open to anyone who is 18 years or older at the time of entry, and is a full time student in either an undergraduate or graduate program at the University of Manitoba, and who has submitted an on-line survey requesting entry into the Contest.</p>
<p>Excluded from eligibility are any employees of the External Relations within the University of Manitoba. Such persons are encouraged to complete the Survey, but are not eligible to enter the Contest.</p>
<p><strong>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prizes<br />
</strong>Prizes include:</p>
<p>a)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; One (1) prize for a $500 gift certificate from the University of Manitoba Bookstore.<br />
b)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Five (5) prizes of $100 gift certificates from the University of Manitoba Bookstore.<br />
c)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ten (10) prizes of $50 gift certificates from the University of Manitoba Bookstore.</p>
<p>A Prize must be accepted as awarded and no prize substitutions or prize transfers will be allowed.</p>
<p><strong>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; How to Enter<br />
</strong>To enter the Contest, a must complete:</p>
<p>a)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; the Survey; and<br />
b)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; the official online Contest entry form by entering your full name, and your current e-mail address.</p>
<p><em>You can submit a survey without providing any personal information, but without a name and contact information you will not be eligible for the Prize.</em></p>

</strong>A tentative prize winner (the “Prize Winner”) will be determined by random drawing by Academica Group who is conducting the Survey on behalf of the University of Manitoba, on April 9, 2018.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Conditions of Participation in Contest<br />
</strong>By participating in this contest, the entrant agrees:</p>
<p>a)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of the University of Manitoba, whose decisions are final;<br />
b)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; to the use of the entrant, likeness, voice, image, recording, video footage and statements in connection with this contest and the promotion and exploitation thereof;<br />
c)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; that if selected as the winner, you give the University and its agents the right to publish or broadcast your name, likeness, voice, image, recording, video footage or statements for editorial, promotional, advertising and publicity purposes, without compensation other than the value of the prize offered;<br />

</strong>The Prize Winner will be notified by email and will have five days to respond and arrange prize pick up. If the Marketing Communications Office is not contacted by the Prize Winner within this time period another Prize Winner may be selected until the Prize has been awarded and claimed.&nbsp;</p>
<p>To claim the Prize, the Prize Winner must:</p>
<p>a)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; provide proof of identification;<br />

<p>The “University of Manitoba October 3<sup>rd</sup> Blue Bomber Tickets Giveaway Contests” (the “Contests”) are open only to legal residents of Manitoba who are 17 years or older at the time of entry (“Eligible Participants”).  Eligible Participants who are under 18 (“Minor”) must have their parent or legal guardian’s consent to participate in the Contests and, if selected as a Tentative Prize Winner, must have their parent or legal guardian sign the declaration, waiver and release required by these Official Rules &amp; Regulations as a pre-condition to being declared a Winner.</p>
<h3><strong style="line-height: 1.5;">2. To Enter</strong></h3>
<p>The Contests runs from Monday, September 21<sup>st</sup>, 2015 at 09:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (“CST”) to October 2<sup>nd</sup> 2015, at 04:59 p.m CST.</p>
<p>To enter one of the Contests, Eligible Participants must do one of the following:</p>

<li>Post a UofM throwback photo on the Alumni Facebook page on Throwback Thursdays.</li>
</ul>
<h3>3. Selection of Winners</h3>
<p>The University of Manitoba Marketing and Communications office will choose tentative Prize Winners randomly. All Tentative Prize Winners shall be notified by comment and directed to pick up their tickets (and a complimentary scarf) at the white University of Manitoba tent, located outside of gate three, beginning at 2pm on October 3<sup>rd</sup>, 2015.</p>
<p>Tentative Prize Winners must provide proof of identification, as well as answer (without assistance) a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question.</p>
<p>Each Tentative Prize Winner (or, if such Tentative Prize Winner is a Minor, such Minor’s parent or legal guardian) must sign a declaration, waiver and release, affirming he or she has read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Rules, grants all consents required and as contemplated by these Rules, authorizes the University of Manitoba to broadcast, publish and disseminate his or her name, likeness, voice, performance, city of residence and biographical information in connection with any promotion, publicity, or news, entertainment and/or information purposes, without further consent and without compensation, and releasing the University of Manitoba, its affiliates, representatives, employees and agents from any and all liability of any kind whatsoever arising out of the Tentative Prize Winner’s participation in the Contests and/or receipt and execution of any prize awarded.</p>

<p>There are 100 prizes to be given during the Contests. Prizes are tickets for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers football game on October 3rd, 2015 and are valued at no more than $60/pair. Each prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution except at the University of Manitoba’s option.</p>
<p>Prizes will be available for pick-up at the white University of Manitoba tent, located outside of gate three, beginning at 2pm on October 3<sup>rd</sup>, 2015.</p>
<p>In the event a Tentative Prize Winner does not wish to accept a prize, an alternate Tentative Prize Winner shall be chosen.</p>
<h3><strong style="line-height: 1.5;">5. Limitation of Liability</strong></h3>
<p>The University of Manitoba, its affiliates, representatives, employees and agents, shall not be in any manner whatsoever be liable or responsible for theft, loss, technical malfunctions, computer and/or telephone network malfunctions, software problems, online traffic congestion, any human or computer generated error, which may in any manner affect the receipt of Contest entries, the notification of winners, the awarding or distribution of any prize under the Contests.</p>
<h3><b>6. Privacy</b></h3>
<p>The University of Manitoba will not be collecting any personal information of any kind during the Contests, other than to notify prizewinners and showcase winning images. This information will not be kept past the Contests’ finish.</p>
<h3><strong>7. Release of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn</strong></h3>
<p>The Contests are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin. These social media channels are completely released by each Eligible Participant in these Contests, from all liability arising in connection with the Contests. Any comments, questions or complains regarding the Contests must be directed to the University of Manitoba.</p>
<h3><strong style="line-height: 1.5;">8. General</strong></h3>
<p>If for any reason the online portion of these Contests are not capable of being completed as planned including, but not limited to computer virus, bugs, tampering, technical failures or other causes beyond the control of the University of Manitoba, the University of Manitoba reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Contests.</p>
<p>The University of Manitoba, its affiliates, representatives, employees and agents assume no liability whatsoever for damage to any person, or to their computer or other property, arising from their actual or attempted participation in the Contests in any manner whatsoever, or in the awarding of any prize.</p>
