On Wednesday, January 22nd, CBC Manitoba’s show ‘Up to Speed’ hosted their show on campus at the UMSU Fireside Lounge.

Here are the links to the show:

Listen to CBC Faith Fundal’s conversation with University of Manitoba’s female athlete of the year who took some time off from volleyball to focus on her mental health. Follow the link here to Sport and Mental Health

Here Faith is chatting with a University of Manitoba business student about why Economic reconciliation is the focus of his work and what it means to someone studying it.

In this conversation we hear from a non-binary English Lit and Philosophy student, who moved from Minnesota to study at the University of Manitoba. They discuss what it’s like for an American U of M student with the changing political landscape happening back home.

The Canadian Mental Health Association calls it a “silent crisis” but a U of M student hopes a new club will get people talking about men’s mental health on campus where even on a campus with over 30,000 students, it can be easy to feel alone.

Many of us know someone who’s had their appendix removed. It is, of course, a useless organ… or is it? Listen to Faith’s conversation with a professor at the Max Rady College of Medicine, involved in a new study focusing on how to treat the tiny organ when it gets inflamed.
