Online parenting forum offers unique student research experience

January 12, 2023 — 
Kyla Wiens, a third year Psychology Honours student in the Faculty of Arts, started university knowing she wanted to pursue graduate studies in clinical psychology. Understanding that research experience is an essential element in graduate studies applications, she started looking for opportunities early in her second year of studies. The Undergraduate Research Award (URA) was a perfect fit.

Janine Windolph is the newest Writer-In-Residence at The Centre for Creative Writing and Oral Culture (CCWOC) at the University of Manitoba. Windolph will work with students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the public from January to April 2023.

Exploring Winnipeg as a Human Rights City

December 7, 2022 — 
The Centre for Human Rights Research and the Centre for Social Science Research and Policy at the University of Manitoba are hosting a special event in recognition of December 10th, the day on which the Universal Declaration on Human Rights was signed. The panel will explore what makes for a human rights city and how Winnipeg lives up to such a designation. The event, “Imagining the Peg as a Human Rights City”, takes place on Zoom on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Registration is open to the public.
