April 29, 2022 —  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of University of Manitoba Professor Emeritus Robert Archambeau on April 25, 2022. An internationally acclaimed artist, Professor Archambeau taught ceramics at the University of Manitoba for twenty-three years, from 1968 until retirement in 1991.

April 28, 2022 —  Nothing compares to in-person learning, as two law students enrolled in the L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic course found when they gave a presentation at Balmoral Hall on April 12 to Grade 9 Venture Development and Grade 10 Law class students. Having spent the year being mentored as part of the Business Law Clinic (BLC) for-credit course, Taylor Antonchuk (3L) and Janelle Gobin (3L) were excited to become mentors themselves to the 34 high-school students at this second annual collaborative learning experience.

How underdeveloped economies can foster their entrepreneurial ecosystems : Network News

April 27, 2022 —  What role do regional governments play in the creation of new businesses? Many have investigated this question, but their answers are largely applicable only to developed economies. Focusing in on developing economies, this research takes a more holistic approach to empirical studies finding that when entrepreneurial ecosystem (EE) lens is applied to emerging economies, regional governments play a supportive role in fostering self-sustaining entrepreneurship activities.
