November 28, 2025 — Dr. Adam King, an assistant professor at University of Manitoba’s labour studies program, said it had been frustrating to be without the data because labour researchers depend on up-to-date work data, particularly in a period of a tense labour relations.

November 27, 2025 — In what is becoming an almost annual tradition, a law student at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Law has won the Canadian Bar Association’s annual Charities and Not-for-profit law student essay contest. Riley Parker’s paper titled “An Analysis of the Charitable Ethos: Hermeneutic History and Protestant Praxis in Anglo and Nordic Countries” was selected as the top paper on a subject relating to Canadian charity and not-for-profit law.

Thrilling Emotion: Theatre’s Latest Production Selling Out Fast! : Network News
November 27, 2025 — With Fall term nearing its end, the Department of English, Theatre, Film & Media debuted their adaptation of Dion Boucicault’s “The Shaughraun”. The show, in which its name means ‘The Wanderer’, is a melodrama that follows the journey of Irishman Conn (played by Deklan Jocelyn) and his surrounding cast of characters. I had the pleasure of attending the sold-out opening night, along with 89 other attendees.
